KENNETH M. LEBLANC

Kenneth LeBlanc, a dedicated advocate for celebrating the rich cultural diversity of Louisiana while fostering unity and empowerment worldwide, is a seasoned leader with a remarkable history of service and community-driven initiatives.

 

Ken brings a wealth of experience from his 22-year military career, which includes UH-60 Instructor Pilot, as well as extensive expertise in Information Technology, Project Management, and Electronic Warfare integration. He holds Master degrees in Information Technology, Project Management, and Business Administration, underscoring his commitment to continuous personal and professional growth. His ability to lead complex Information Technology and Electronic Warfare projects provided him with a keen awareness of the needs of stakeholders and refined his exceptional communication skills.

​TRANSITIONING FROM HIS MILITARY CAREER, KEN HAS SPENT OVER A DECADE PASSIONATELY WORKING WITH CITY OFFICIALS AND RECREATION CENTERS TO DEVELOP PROGRAMS THAT SPARK EVENTS AND BOOST THE ECONOMY.

One of his primary areas of focus has been the empowerment of underserved youth and communities, emphasizing the importance of cultural diversity and unity.

 

One of his key achievements has been serving as the Director of the Wiregrass Futbol Club for more than 12 years. Under his leadership, the club has claimed seven state championships and made two regional appearances, with over 15 Alabama State Games Gold and silver medals earned. Additionally, Ken played a pivotal role in developing a recreational league to support Fort Novosel and Ozark rec programs, with ongoing efforts to extend this initiative to other communities.

Ken's vision and leadership have also led to the "Wings of Freedom" soccer tournament, which boasts a documented economic impact of over one million dollars across three cities. He served as the Commissioner of the Alabama State Games Soccer for six years, playing a crucial role in making it one of the biggest money-making components of the games. Furthermore, Ken's dedication to the community is evident through his implementation of the "Dino" soccer program for ages 2-4. This program, established under the Wiregrass Futbol Club, has thrived as one of the best-integrated programs in the United States, offering extensive opportunities for youth. In addition to his civic engagement, Ken has been a strong proponent of cultural exchange and has sponsored international military students from over 40 countries. This commitment to embracing and sharing cultural diversity is reflected in his leadership of the International Soccer Draft Program, which introduces youth to the rich tapestry of international cultures, promoting unity and understanding.

Ken serves on the steering committee of the Alabama Governor's Commission on Physical Fitness and Sports, receiving the leadership award for his vision in youth sports. He is also a board member of the Space and Missile Defense Command (SUCCEED), where he represents the LeBlanc Foundation and selects youth to participate in a cyber program administered by the University of Alabama.

In his pursuit of continuous learning and growth, Ken has obtained several Master Degree's. He is a member of the New Orleans Saints Touchdown Club and has partnered with organizations like TechGirlz and NASA Astro Camp to administer programs to the youth. Ken teaches the VEX 123 and VEX go robotics, demonstrating his dedication to empowering youth through educational initiatives.

Ken also served as the Executive Director of the Alabama State Games "Wiregrass Division" for the ASF Foundation, further highlighting his commitment to creating opportunities and a sense of belonging within communities.

Not to be left out, Ken is an established Musician, who plays clarinet and an electronic wind instrument. He has played on the radio, at the New Orleans Saints banquets, weddings, and several local and out of town restaurants.
